“Nevermind, it’s fine” I think, lying in my head again

But I really badly wanna slow the steps and rest a bit

As you’re pacing quickly, and I’m seeing that you’re nearly leaving me just to lag behind

Now, I’m watching you, yet still caught in a bind

The train’s rolling in, you board it and then I am left with these wide dry eyes

Going off into the great distant blue, and I wave my goodbyes to you

“Now’s not the time to break down and cry”

But I can’t lie, I have to say:

“Hey, don’t go away!”

No longer there, I stared and I stared, left alone with these wet sad eyes

My vision’s dim, the mood’s getting grim, as the night crumbles, closing in

“Now’s not the time to break down and cry”

But I can’t lie, I have to say:

“Hey, don’t go away!”

Festival has ended, comprehended in the nick of time

Lunar light is lighting up the world when it falls to night

Looking lovingly into the eyes that I’ve known, and I felt shivers down my spine

Now, I’m watching you, yet still caught in a bind

Solitude for me, it won’t let me free, I am floating on a timeless cloud

I leave to depart for home, in the dark, “Can I be lonely?” asking my heart

Street lamps aglow, casting my shadow

I just don’t know where I should go

Now that I’m all alone

No longer there, I stared and I stared, left alone with these wet sad eyes

My vision’s dim, the mood’s getting grim, as the night’s blurring, letting darkness win

“Now’s not the time to break down and cry”

But I can’t lie, I have to say:

“Hey, don’t go away!”
